Sisters, sisters, never were there such devoted sisters…

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

We’re very pleased to be invited to deliver some coaching at a development conference for a group of 180 ward sisters and associated staff working across Nottingham Hospitals. This will be an enjoyable, dynamic and interactive learning event – a practical masterclass exploring approaches to communication and understanding, managing and influencing others. We’ll examine in particular the challenges of working in highly pressurised environments and managing complex processes of change. Should be a great day – we’ll let you know how we get on.

NCC manages change

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

We’re now in full swing with our new client Northamptonshire County Council, having done our second session there yesterday. The brief is to deliver masterclasses in Managing Change for 50 senior managers from all areas of the council.

We really enjoyed the course yesterday – a lively day, full of laughter and energetic contributions. We looked in practice at the transition curve of feelings and responses we all go through when we encounter change – happiness and anxiety to denial and acceptance. The day successfully enabled managers to explore ways of recognising responses to change in themselves and those they manage. And provided an opportunity to identify difficulties that can occur when people get stuck in patterns of behaviour. How can managers help their staff to unpick these patterns?

Thanks to all those who attended – we look forward to the next session!
